Cocaine seizure: British nationals arrested in Jamaica
Police Made Key Arrests In Cocaine and Murder Cases. On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, agents from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) arrested two British nationals. They were allegedly attempting to smuggle cocaine through the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston, Jamaica.
According to reports, around 4:25 p.m., FNID agents conducted security checks for passengers boarding a British Airways flight to London.
Police made key arrests. During routine interviews, the behavior of a British man raised the agents’ suspicions, prompting them to search his luggage. This search resulted in the police finding 7 kilograms (15 pounds) of cocaine. The cocaine was hidden in the lining of two suitcases.
Additionally, another British national, a woman, also attracted the attention of law enforcement due to her actions. A thorough search of her luggage reportedly uncovered approximately 7.2 kilograms (16 pounds) of cocaine concealed in the lining of her suitcases.
The joint street value of the cocaine is estimated to be approximately JMD 92.7 million (about $400,000).
Police made key arrests. Both individuals have been taken into custody pending further investigation and formal charges. The police have not revealed the identities of the accused individuals at this time.
Police made key arrests in Manchester bar murder
The police in Manchester have charged a Manchester man with gun-related charges. This is in connection with the shooting at a bar in July 2024. The incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals and the injury of another.

The victims were identified. They are 39-year-old businesswoman Tanisha Burton and 74-year-old Wilford Mallison. Both are residents of the Craighead district in the parish.
Police made key arrests. Law enforcement charged Regine Bogle, 39, a farmer from Christiana, with two counts of murder. They also charged him with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. She faces charges of wounding with intent and possession of a prohibited weapon. The police also charged her with unauthorized possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.
Police made Key arrests. Bogle had been on the run since the attack occurred on Saturday, July 13, 2024. According to the police, he turned himself in on Monday, March 10. He was later charged after a question-and-answer session with authorities.
Reports from the Manchester police stated that around 10:10 PM, Burton, Mallison, and another man were at a bar. Burton owned the Burton. Armed men entered and opened fire. They hit all three individuals.
The gunmen fled the scene on foot. The police responded, and upon arrival, they found the injured victims with gunshot wounds.
The officers swiftly transported the victims to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced them dead.
Bogle’s court date is pending.
