Police Crack Down: Cops charged Two For Lottery Scam. In St. Mary, Jamaica — A joint military and police operation in two communities in St. Mary resulted in the arrest of two individuals for lottery scamming. This is a fraudulent scheme where perpetrators con victims into believing they have won a lottery. The operation also led to arrests for resisting arrest. Eleven others were arrested for various illegal activities within 24 hours.
According to police reports, the operation commenced on Tuesday in the Bogogee community of Jacks River.
During this operation, the officers searched a house occupied by several men. The police arrested all the occupants and brought charges against two.
The police identified the accused as 23-year-old Daguane Whitly and 27-year-old Davian Armstrong.
Police crack down. Law enforcement charged them with possession of identity-related materials. This is a serious offense. It could lead to identity theft and other fraudulent activities.

Additionally, the police charged a 35-year-old painter named Peter Clarke with resisting arrest.
The court date for the accused is pending.
Police crack down: Taxi operator charged after injuring cop in Kingston
The Kingston Central police in Jamaica have charged a taxi operator. He is accused of allegedly injuring a police officer along King Street in downtown Kingston. This incident occurred on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Law enforcement identified the accused as Shaun Gray, 36, from Windsor Heights in Central Village, Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
The police charged him with assault at common law and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Investigators stated that at about 1:18 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, the police officer was on motorcycle traffic duty along King Street.
Police crack down. While monitoring the work zone, the officer observed the driver of a Honda Stepwagon commit a traffic breach.
Upon observing the traffic breach, the cop approached Gray. Gray was not happy that the officer cited him for the traffic breach.
Gray let his emotions take over, driving the Stepwagon into the officer’s path. He then used his vehicle to pin the officer between the Stepwagon and the motorcycle.
Police crack down. As a result, the officer sustained injuries to his right foot and thumb.
The officer reportedly discharged his weapon in Gray’s direction to defend himself. Gray was not hit, according to the police.
Gray fled the scene, but law enforcement later arrested and charged him.
Authorities scheduled him to be present before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
