Murder and Shooting: Three dead, Two Injured, Including a Cop. Murder suspect Rushane Thompson was fatally wounded by the police during an operation in Downs, Manchester, on Wednesday, January 29. One police officer sustained injuries in the incident.
Police officials said Thompson was a suspect in last December’s killing of Xavier Fogah, also known as ‘Niah Gang.’

According to the police, at around 4:10 a.m., the police conducted an operation in the Downs district in search of the suspect.
During the operation, law enforcement encountered Thompson, who allegedly shot at the officers, injuring one of them. The police returned fire, injuring Thompson, who was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Fortunately, the policeman’s injuries were not life-threatening as he was wearing a bulletproof vest.
The wounded officer’s colleagues transported him to the hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement reportedly recovered one firearm during the operation, a reassuring sign of law enforcement’s efforts to maintain public safety.
Murder and shooting: Gun attack at St Andrew bar leaves two dead and one injured
A taxi operator and another person were shot dead and another person injured by gunmen at a bar on Cameron Lane, Whitehall Avenue in St. Andrew, on Wednesday.
The brazen act of cruelty reportedly unfolded at about 3 p.m.
The police have not yet confirmed the identities of the individuals killed in this brazen act. They also have not provided a motive for the shooting.
Initial reports indicate that patrons were at the bar when a vehicle drove up with armed men. The men exited the vehicle and opened fire, before escaping.

Residents transported the wounded men to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced two dead and admit one.
Acting Superintendent Randy Sweeney, head of the St Andrew North police, confirmed the developments and said investigations are ongoing.
St Mary Shooting: Investigation Underway
Detectives in St. Mary are investigating a shooting that occurred in Mango Valley on Monday, January 27, 2025.
According to unconfirmed reports, a man and a woman were involved in an altercation at a community residence. During the incident, a neighbor, who is a licensed firearm holder, reportedly intervened after hearing cries for help.
However, the situation escalated quickly, leading the firearm holder to discharge two rounds from his weapon. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the shooting.
The man and woman involved in the physical confrontation sustained injuries from the fight and have since sought medical attention.
