The police have confirmed that they have made snignificant progress in a 2021 murder case–They have arrested charged a man with the shooting death of 41-year-old Andre Stephens as he took a bath at home in May 2021. 

The cops said they are pursuing other suspects as well. 

According to the police, they charged Ethan Thompson, age 22, from Walkers Avenue, Gregory Park, St Catherine, with murder, illegally possessing a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition. 

The police said the Kingston Western police are leading the investigations. 

According to the police, Thompson and others attacked and fatally shot Stephens as he bathed at the rear of his Lincoln Crescent, Kingston 5 house, around 7:15 am on May 5, 2021. 

The police said the gunmen shot Stephens several times.

Detectives said they charged Thompson after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney. 

Thompson’s court appearance date is pending.

Lawrence Tavern Police arrested 18-y-o woman suspected in the stabbing death of a Mount Ogle man.

The Lawrence Tavern Police Department reported that they had arrested a woman suspected of stabbing a man to death in Mount Ogle, Lawrence, St Andrew, Saturday night, July 8, 2023.

 The police identified the deceased as Ryan West, age 31, late resident of Mount Ogle, Lawrence Tavern, St Andrew.

According to reports, at about 8:15 pm, Saturday, 2023, an 18-year-old woman stabbed West with a knife during a domestic dispute. 

The police say the two lived at the exact location, and the deceased was an ex-boyfriend of the accused aunt. 

The two initially confronted, and the woman reportedly ran to another house. 

The stabbing reportedly occurred when the two people crossed paths again in a walkway leading to their yard. 

West collapsed, and residents assisted him to the Kingston Public Hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.

The police recovered a knife at the scene, believed to be the murder weapon.

The police are investigating.
