Ex-Cop Arrested in JDF Soldier Murder Case

In KINGSTON WESTERN, Jamaica, police have apprehended a man believed to be involved in the murder of a Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) soldier in Denham Town, Kingston, which occurred in August.

According to Observer Online, the individual is a former member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

Reportedly, the Area Four Fugitive Apprehension Team, alongside the Denham Town mobile patrol team, successfully captured the suspect in West Kingston on Saturday afternoon as part of a focused operation.

Authorities indicated that the suspect was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Private Ejay Domville on August 23.

It has been reported that Domville was serving as part of a foot patrol team near Charles Street and Chestnut Lane at the time of the incident.

Law enforcement officials have chosen to withhold the suspect’s identity while further investigations and potential charges are pursued.

The St Andrew South police have initiated a search for the individuals responsible for the murder of a 26-year-old man early Saturday morning.

Authorities have identified the victim as Shane Peddie, a laborer from Fields, Kingston 20.

Reports indicate that around 12:50 a.m., residents in the vicinity heard multiple gunshots near Amsterdam Avenue in Maverley, St Andrew, prompting them to alert law enforcement.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered Peddie with gunshot wounds. He was later transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Law enforcement has not yet established a motive for the homicide.

ST ANDREW, Jamaica – An investigation has been launched by the St Andrew Central Police into the fatal shooting of a young man in the Cheshire Village housing scheme on Golding Avenue in Tavern, St Andrew, on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Micheal Sutherland, also known as ‘Dim Dim,’ aged 23, from Bedward Gardens in August Town.

Reports confirmed that at approximately 7:45 a.m., residents heard a series of loud explosions and later alerted the police.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered Sutherland lying face down in a pool of blood, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head.

The victim was transported to Kingston Public Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.

As of now, authorities have not established a clear motive for this tragic incident, according to police statements.
