MANCHESTER, Jamaica: Hoodlums gunned down Five people in Manchester in one week. Their latest victim met his demise at a bar in Green Street, Knockpatrick, on Monday night.
Two people were also shot and injured in that incident, the police said.
Residents identified the deceased as Kevin Brown, 46, o/c ‘Cheese,’ a resident of the Knockpatrick community.

Preliminary reports are that at about 10:00 p.m., Brown was among patrons at the bar. Armed assailants entered the premises and opened gunfire.
Three people sustained gunshot wounds, including Brown, who collapsed at the front of the bar near his home.
Hospital authorities pronounced Brown dead on arrival and admitted the injured for treatment.
According to the police, the bloody week began on Tuesday night, September 3. Gunmen entered a bar and shot three patrons, two fatally, in Bottom Albion, Manchester.
One day later, the bloodletting continued at another Christiana bar, where one man lost his life in a gun attack.
Two days later, residents summoned the police to another homicide scene in Christiana. Hoodlums gunned down a man after he dropped off his stepdaughter at a school.
Statistics from the police show that as of Saturday, September 7, Manchester had registered 37 homicides since the beginning of the year, compared to 29 during the same period last year.
