Fatal Shooting in Albion, Manchester: 21-y-o Suspect Charged.

Cops Charged Mandela Highway Robber and Murder Suspect. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, cops in St. Catherine, Jamaica, charged a suspect with the alleged robbery and fatal shooting that occurred along the St. Catherine section of the Mandela Highway on June 11. Authorities identified the suspect as Nicholas Bhalai, o/c, 'Coolie Bap,' 24, a laborer of Ferry, district, in St Catherine, Jamaica.

On Saturday, September 14, Manchester police charged a suspect in connection to the fatal shooting of Brian Samuels, 27, at his home in Albion district in the May Day community.

He is Andre Williams, 21, a laborer from the Hillside district in Knockpatrick. Williams faces charges of murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Officials say at about 6:20 p.m. on Monday, August 12, Samuels, a laborer, was at home. Reportedly, Williams and an accomplice pounced upon him.

Then, the men opened gunfire, hitting Samuels several times before escaping.

The police responded and found Samuels suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Hospital officials pronounced Samuels dead on arrival.

After an investigation and recording of eyewitness statements, investigators arrested Williams. They formally charged him on Saturday, September 14, after an interview session in the presence of his attorney.

Williams’ court date is pending. His accomplice is still at large.

The Linstead police are on the lookout for a suspect accused of brutally murdering a man in Linstead, St Catherine on Sunday night.

The victim has been identified as 55-year-old laborer, Vinton Anderson, from the Lemonridge district in Banbury, Linstead.

Reports suggest that Anderson was in a yard in the community around 7:20 p.m. when he was viciously attacked with a machete to the back of his head by a man who then fled the scene, leaving Anderson with severe injuries.

Despite efforts by residents to help him, Anderson ultimately succumbed to his injuries at Linstead Hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Linstead police.
