A father was gunned down Friday morning as he dropped children off, including his child, at a school in Christiana, Manchester.
The shooting incident took place at approximately 8:45 outside the Christiana Moravian Primary and Infant School.
During the altercation, a parent sustained a gunshot wound to her arm and was promptly taken to the hospital with the help of authorities.
Preliminary accounts suggest that Jerome, a taxi operator and father, arrived at the school. As the children were exiting the vehicle, another car pulled up alongside his. Individuals in the car then proceeded to open fire at the taxi, resulting in multiple gunshot wounds to the driver, before swiftly fleeing the scene.
Eyewitnesses have expressed profound shock and dismay at the audacity and callousness of the assailants.
The authorities are conducting an investigation into the matter.
Antigua Deports Jamaican Nationals for Illegal Entry and Altercation.
ST JOHN’S, Antigua: An Antigua court ordered two Jamaicans nationals deported after facing charges of illegal entry and engaging in a physical altercation with an immigration officer at VC Bird International Airport.

The authorities identified the women as Alicia Ricketts and Renea Nelson. Immigration officials denied the women entry upon arrival on Sunday.
Reportedly, the women, especially Nelson, were allegedly disorderly and disruptive even while in custody.
The situation worsened when Ricketts allegedly assaulted an immigration officer and ripped her uniform blouse in the process.

Ricketts later pleaded guilty to assault and battery charges. The court fined her EC$400. The court also fined her EC$500 for resisting arrest.
Also, the court fined Nelson EC$250 after she pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
The women will be sent back to Jamaica on the next available flight.
Meanwhile, authorities reported that 62-year-old Carrol Lee Gayle, who had been residing in Antigua since 2018, has already been deported after illegally entering the country.
