ST CATHERINE, Jamaica: Police charged an Old Hellshire teen after he and an accomplice allegedly broke into the complainant’s house and stole personal items, then made off with her car.
The teen, whose name the police withheld, is 15. The police charged him with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
The Hellshire police stated that the incident unfolded between 12:30 a.m. and 4:55 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
Reportedly, the teenager and his accomplice allegedly broke into the complainant’s home and stole a cell phone, a purse, and car keys.
The men then escaped in the complainant’s Suzuki Swift motor vehicle.
The woman filed a report with the Hellshire police.
On Sunday, August 25, 2024, police intercepted the Suzuki Swift with the boy aboard in Christiana, Manchester.
The authorities charged the teen on Tuesday, August 27. His court date is pending.
60-y-o St Catherine Man Indicted Over Alleged Work Visa Fraud in Linstead.
CLARENDON, Jamaica: The Linstead police indicted a man after failing to give a client a work visas he allegedly collected cash to secure.

The authorities identified the accused as Robert Dunn, 60, a construction worker from Above Rocks, St Catherine.
The police charged Dunn with obtaining money by means of pretense.
According to the allegations, between July 1 and August 15, 2024, Dunn collected $320,500 from an unsuspecting woman. In return, Dunn promised the complainant that he would secure a work visa and passport for her to travel to the United States.
When Dunn did not deliver the promised items, or refund the money, the complainant filed a report with the police.
The police launched a probe, leading to Dunn’s arrest and charged on Tuesday, August 27.
Dunn will answer to the charge in the St Catherine Parish Court in Linstead on Wednesday, September 11.
Discovery of Mutilated Body of Missing Woman in St. Thomas, Jamaica.
ST THOMAS, Jamaica: According to reports, citizens stumble upon the body of a woman who had gone missing.
Residents identified her as Suzette Clarke, 60, of Southaven in the parish, and an employee of Red Stripe Jamaica.

A report filed by Radio Jamaica News stated that a representative from Red Stripe called a family member on Saturday, August 24 to enquire about Clarke’s whereabouts. Reportedly, Clarke had not reported to work since Wednesday, August 21.
As a result, a family member filed a missing with the police on Saturday.
On Wednesday, August 21, at about 1:30 p.m., family members stumbled upon the headless body of Ms. Clarke during a search.
Reportedly, the body of the woman was also partially burnt and covered with tires.
The Yallahs Police are probing the matter.
Authorities Confiscate Submachine Gun in Rose Town, Kingston.
KINGSTON, Jamaica: The police reportedly recovered a submachine gun and ammunition in Rose Town, Kingston, during an operation targeting the Bentley Lane gang that has been wreaking havoc in the community.

According to the police, at about 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the police searched premises at 11 Tewari Crescent.
During the search, the police found one Smith and Wesson submachine gun with a magazine containing one round of ammunition.
Law enforcement officers found the weapon in the trunk of a scrapped motor car. The police said the gun had a partially erased serial number.
The officers said they did not arrest anyone in connection with the seizure.
