Fatal Police Raid: Cops Killed Elbow Gang Leader Corey Rowe. Early Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025, the security forces reportedly fatally wounded a suspect. They believed this suspect was the alleged leader of the Elbow Gang. This gang operates in Central Village, St. Catherine, Jamaica.

    The St Elizabeth Police, with the assistance of detectives from Kingston, have significantly escalated their efforts to apprehend a group of heavily armed men allegedly linked to a series of robberies and shootings in the parish.

    During a confrontation on Friday in Grosmond District, the police successfully neutralized one of the suspects after a sustained exchange of gunfire with the criminal network.

    In a successful operation, two individuals, including a female, were taken into custody, and a substantial amount of stolen property was recovered.

    Deputy Superintendent Coleridge Minto, commanding officer for the St. Elizabeth police division, reported that the law enforcement returned to the area on Sunday morning and confiscated another illegal firearm.

    It has been confirmed that the individuals are implicated in several serious crimes in St Elizabeth, such as the tragic shooting of a farmer in Goshen on February 25. Furthermore, they are connected to the abduction of a businessman who was relieved of more than six million dollars in Santa Cruz.

    Despite the challenges, law enforcement has made significant progress, and their operations have successfully curtailed the activities of these criminals.

    Corey Carter, aged 32, hailing from Portmore, has been slapped with charges of larceny as a servant and unauthorized access to a computer device with intent to commit or facilitate the commission of an offense by the St Catherine South police.

    Allegedly, Carter abused his position as a cashier at a business establishment, using an authorized code to operate a phone card machine. The authorities claim that several phone cards were sold and gift items worth $212,520 were purchased from the machine, which he allegedly converted for personal gain.

    Following a report from the complainant, the police conducted an investigation that led to Carter’s arrest and subsequent charge. His court appearance date is pending as the case unfolds.

    Portmore, St Catherine security guard 32-year-old Kareem Cunningham, also known as ‘Bredda’, is accused of embezzlement.

    Allegations state that Cunningham pocketed a substantial amount of money entrusted to him by a customer for a deposit.

    The incident occurred on Main Street, Mandeville, Manchester, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, when Cunningham received $227,652 from a customer. Shockingly, he only deposited $127,652 into the company vault, pocketing $100,000 for personal use. Following this deceitful act, Cunningham vanished from his workplace.

    After months of eluding authorities, Cunningham was finally apprehended by police in Portmore, St Catherine, on Friday, April 4, 2024. During questioning, he reportedly confessed to the crime in a caution statement. Consequently, he has been formally charged and is set to face trial at the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday, April 17.

    The police have announced the seizure of 24 assorted rounds of ammunition following an operation in the Burger Gully community, Mountain View, Kingston 2, on Saturday, April 14, 2024.

    At approximately 3:20 p.m., a police team conducted a search of premises in the area, leading to the discovery of three 5.56mm rounds, two .38 special rounds, and nineteen 45mm rounds of ammunition.

    Notably, no arrests were made concerning this seizure, and investigations are ongoing.
