On Tuesday night, June 18, 2024, a police constable, Mario Thomas, was tragically killed by an assailant in Breezy Hill, Comfort district, Manchester. The police are investigating the motive. In a separate incident, a mother in St. Catherine was charged with aiding child abuse, while in another case, police seized a gun and detained five men in St. Catherine.

A community is distraught after 4-year-old accused man of child molestation
A 26-year-old Westmorelander whose name the police withheld is in police custody after a 4-year-old baby girl accused him of sexually abusing her. The accusation left the entire community in wonderment. Nobody believes the child. Everybody thinks the accused is incapable of committing the despicable act. The accused, who lives across the street from the child, is a friend of the child's parents.
