Domestic Dispute. The man who allegedly stabbed and killed Katherine Wallace, 50, on Love Lane in downtown Kingston on Wednesday was subsequently killed by the police.

Law enforcement officials have identified the deceased man as Davar Dacres, also known as “Davy” of a King Street address.

The police reported that Dacres was connected to the fatal stabbing of Katherine Wallace, known as “Kathy,” of Fleet Street. CCTV captured the incident.

At approximately 5:20 pm, Dacres and Wallace, who had a previous fallout over money, were drinking in the lane when they got into a domestic dispute over ice.

The dispute reportedly escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, Dacres allegedly used a ratchet knife to inflict multiple stab wounds to Wallace’s upper body.

As a result, one officer fearing for his life, discharged his service pistol, hitting Dacres.

The officers rushed Dacres to the hospital, where the medical staff pronounced him dead.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Mischka Forbes, commanding officer for the Kingston Central Police Division, said the incident marks the third murder in the division since the start of the year. And Wednesday fatal stabbing was the second involving a knife.
