Love Triangle Drama: Police Charged Chef in Stabbing Incident. Police in St. Mary charged a chef with wounding with intent. He allegedly stabbed a man in a love triangle drama.. The chef accused the complainant of having a romantic relationship with the mother of his child.

Authorities identified the accused as 38-year-old Ricardo Ricketts. He is also known as ‘Tweekle’ and ‘Shortman.’ Ricketts is from the Geddes Town district in St Mary.

The love triangle drama spiraled out of control. The Port Maria police stated that at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, Ricketts confronted the complainant in the Oxford district. He publicly accused the complainant of having an affair with his child’s mother.

Without giving the complainant a chance to respond, Ricketts reportedly pulled a knife and stabbed the man in the abdomen.

The wounded man fled the scene. A nearby Good Samaritan rushed him to the hospital. There, he received emergency treatment.

The police received a report. They arrested Ricketts during an operation in Geddes Town on Sunday, June 22. They formally charged him on June 23.

His court appearance date is pending.

Police in Yallahs, St. Thomas, Jamaica, have escalated a shooting investigation to murder after the victim’s death.

Authorities identified the victim as Dwayne Dacres, a 39-year-old mechanic. He succumbed to gunshot injuries nearly three weeks after the shooting.

The police stated that at approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 5, 2025, unknown assailants shot and injured Dacres in the 12 Miles area of Bull Bay.

The attackers managed to escape, and authorities are actively searching for them.

After the shooting, residents in the community transported Dacres to Kingston Public Hospital. The authorities admitted him in serious condition there.

Sadly, police confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries at around 12:45 p.m. on June 23.

The Yallahs Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the murder investigation.
