Reputed Gang Leader Charged with Possession of Modified Glock. Detectives assigned to the St. North Division in Jamaica have formally charged a reputed gang leader. The police arrested the suspect on April 21, 2025. They discovered a modified Glock-19 pistol on his person. Officers also found 50 rounds of 9mm cartridges in his possession.
Investigators identified the reputed gang leader as Orlando Grant. They said the reputed gang leader is also known as ‘Rufus’ or ‘Glasses Man.’ Grant is a 33-year-old resident of Grants Pen Road in Kingston 8, St. Andrew. Grant had evaded security forces for many years.
The police charged Grant with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
At the time of his arrest, the reputed gang leader allegedly told police something. He claimed to have found the gun at a school in the Mannings Hill area.

According to authorities, the firearm had been modified with an invisible switch plate, enabling it to fire automatically. Such weapons are commonly referred to on the streets as a ‘Chip Glock.’
The security forces arrested Grant at about 8:10 p.m. on April 21, 2025, during an operation on the school compound.
The officers searched the reputed gang leader and found a black Glock 19, 9mm pistol with a serial number. They also discovered a silver extended magazine, one black Glock magazine, and 50 9mm cartridges. These items were inside a black one-strap bag he was carrying across his chest. Grant could not produce a firearm license or permit for the weapon.
The police arrested the reputed gang leader without incident in the presence of others.
Grant is known to frequent areas in August Town, St. Andrew, and Kingston Central. He is also a suspect in the murder of Oshane’ Badz’ Barclay. The murder took place on May 16, 2024, at Rilla Avenue, Kingston 8.
Acting Superintendent Randy Sweeney, the commander of the St. Andrew North police division, described Grant’s apprehension as a significant success.
Sweeney said Grant is a suspect in a triple murder case and other shooting incidents. He disclosed that the police had conducted several operations to apprehend Grant.
Also, acting Superintendent Sweeney urged residents to report any criminal activity. They can call Crime Stop at 311. Alternatively, they can contact the Constant Spring police at 924-1421.
Meanwhile, the St. Andrew North police asked the named persons of interest to report to the nearest police station. These individuals are Emar ‘Bully Beef’ Grinmam, Andre Lewis (also known as ‘Bigga’), and Oshane Blackwood.
