Police responded to a murder scene on North Street in Kingston, Jamaica, on Tuesday morning, October 22, after gunmen shot three people, two fatally.

Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps, head of the Kingston Western, has confirmed the shooting. Nevertheless, he stated that the details behind the shooting are still unclear.

Still, preliminary reports indicated that several people were walking along the roadway. Suddenly, a motorcar with armed men aboard drove up and opened fire., hitting three people.

Then, the shooters drove away at high speed.

The police were called to the area, and three people were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

The responding team rushed the victims to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced two people dead on arrival.

The Kingston Western Police are investigating the shooting.

The North Street shooting follows Monday night’s slaying of five men at a football match in Eastern Kingston. community of Rockfort resulting in a 48-hour curfew being imposed in the area.

Police responded to a murder scene in Iterboreale, Annotto Bay, on Monday, where a farmer from Enfield, St Mary, was shot and killed while visiting his girlfriend.

Dead is Michael “Mickey” Lumley, 61, from Enfield in St. Mary.

According to reports, at about 7:15 p.m., Lumley visited his girlfriend in the Iterboreale community in Annotto Bay.

Lumley was sitting in the yard when a Toyota Axio motor car stopped at the gate. Two men exited the vehicle, entered the yard, and approached Lumley.

After a brief conversation, the gunmen allegedly opened fire, hitting Lumley in his left shoulder before escaping in the waiting motorcar.

The police responded and rushed Lumley to the Annotto Bay hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one else was injured in the attack.

Police officials theorized that Lumley’s murder is connected to gang violence in the community.

The commanding officer for St. Mary, Deputy Superintendent Wallace, said Lumley’s killing is the 24th murder recorded in the Annotto Bay Division so far this year.
