Head of the Clarendon Police, Superintendent Shane McCalla, says the police continue to pursue those behind the August 11 Cherry Tree Lane massacre.
Eight people, including an eight-year-old boy, were killed when armed men invaded the community.
The police have so far charged two of the perpetrators.
The government has also established a $25 million fund to offer rewards for information that can help the investigations.
Also, the authorities have imposed a State of Public Emergency in the parish.
Superintendent McCalla stated that since the SOE started, the police have pursued several suspects. He said the search is ongoing.
But the police expect that other persons linked to the tragic incident will be caught and brought to justice soon.
Furthermore, he reassured the public that the police would not relent until all concerned were apprehended.
Viral Video Assault: St. Mary Cop Confirmed as Perpetrator.
The St. Mary Police have confirmed that a man seen in a viral video beating a woman, is a JCF member attached to the division.
Speaking with Radio Jamaica News, divisional head Deputy Superintendent Kevin Francis, who was tightlipped about the incident, said a probe is underway.
According to Francis, the matter is under investigation, and he is not authorized to speak on the matter. But he did say the police have charged the officer involved.
In the video, which sparked discussions among social media users, a man whom persons identified as a police constable seen delivering consecutive blows to the woman’s face and head as he repeatedly demanded that she leave the area.
DSP Francis insisted the police do not endorse domestic violence and urged anyone being affected by such a situation to seek help.
