KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have issued a warning to the public regarding individuals falsely claiming to be members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). These imposters are soliciting and, in some cases, collecting money from the public under false pretenses.

The police have reported that these individuals falsely assert that the money is required to return properties or to prevent the execution of judicial processes.

It is important to note that no member of the JCF is authorized to contact the public for the collection of money in relation to the release of motor vehicles or exhibits, or to influence judicial processes.

In the event that you have any pertinent information or have fallen victim to this scam, it is crucial to contact Crime Stop at 311, the police emergency line at 119, or the nearest police station.

The JCF is urging citizens to remain vigilant and to promptly report any instances of this fraudulent activity to the police.
