Skeletal Remains Believed to Be Those of a Missing Teacher Found in Clarendon.

Skeletal remains, suspected to be those of Danielle Anglin, a teacher from St Catherine who disappeared on May 13, 2024, were discovered in Salt River, Clarendon.

Reportedly, the police found the skeletal remains in the Salt River community during a focused operation led by officers from St Catherine and Clarendon.

Clifton Green, the Deputy Superintendent in charge of Crime in Clarendon, verified that the operation was in connection to a missing person and confirmed the discovery of skeletal remains, believed to be those of Danielle Anglin, a teacher from St Catherine.

Danielle Anglin, 29, was employed at St Peter Claver Primary and Infant School in St Andrew and resided in the Hellshire area of Portmore, St Catherine. She was last seen around 5:50 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, while on her way to work.

The investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, June 3, 2024, at approximately 11:15 a.m., a Moneygram outlet at the Portmore Mall in Portmore, St Catherine, was targeted by armed individuals. They successfully escaped with an unspecified amount of money.

Deputy Superintendent Earle Grant, commander for Zone 2 in the St Catherine South Police Division, reported that two masked men entered the premises, brandished firearms, and demanded money from the cashiers.

According to the police, a brief exchange of gunfire occurred between the perpetrators and a security guard, leading them to believe that one of the robbers was injured. The men fled in a waiting vehicle.

Subsequently, the authorities recovered the vehicle and identified bloodstains inside both the car and the Moneygram outlet. They have taken one suspect into custody, but are appealing to the public for any relevant information.

The St Elizabeth police have confirmed that a suspect was arrested and charged on Thursday, June 2, 2024, in connection with an alleged rape that occurred in the parish in August 2022.

The suspect, identified as Odain Lee, 35, who uses the alias ‘New Money,’ is a construction worker and farmer.

According to the Black River Police, on August 12, 2022, Lee offered the complainant a ride home. She boarded a Toyota Voxy motor vehicle with Lee and the driver.

Reportedly, the driver made an unexpected stop at a sports complex, and it was there that Lee allegedly pulled her from the vehicle and subjected her to a sexual assault.

The victim filed a report with the Black River police, leading to the issuance of a warrant for Lee’s arrest, as he had left the island.

Upon his return to the island on Thursday, June 2, 2024, the police executed the warrant for Lee’s arrest.

The court appearance date for the suspect is pending.

Kingston Eastern police have officially confirmed the arrest and charging of two individuals in connection with a disturbing case. The accused individuals have been identified as Orlando Hamilton, also known as ‘Babba,’ aged 21, and Norman Dixon, also known as ‘Bob,’ both of whom reside in the Burgher Avenue community.

The authorities have disclosed that the deceased, Andre Allen, aged 39, was a resident of Burgher Avenue in Kingston. It is believed that Allen met a tragic fate, being executed in the community between May 18 and May 22 and subsequently buried in a shallow pit.

According to police reports, Hamilton purportedly encountered Allen’s lifeless body in a yard, surrounded by five individuals. Subsequently, eyewitnesses observed Hamilton and Dickens mixing cement and covering the pit where Allen’s body was concealed.

Following a thorough investigation, both Hamilton and Dixon were taken into police custody and charged based on compelling eyewitness statements.

The date for their court appearance is yet to be determined.
