In a dramatic turn of events on Saturday, March 23, 2024, police apprehended a suspect near the Payne Land community in the St Andrew South police division. According to reports, a patrol team made the arrest at approximately 7:45 p.m. after observing a man exhibiting suspicious behavior on Oakland Road.
Upon searching a bag in the suspect’s possession, law enforcement officials discovered a black Heyward Stream 9mm pistol. This firearm was particularly concerning as its serial number had been deliberately erased. Furthermore, the pistol was loaded with a magazine containing 13 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The police have deliberately withheld the individual’s identity pending further investigation and the filing of formal charges.
