In response to a notice from the Integrity Commission, Robert Chin, Member of Parliament for Manchester Southern, confirmed that he will be at its office on Monday, March 25, 2024.
The Integrity Commission issued a notice in the Observer and the Gleaner, as well as on social media, summoning the MP to “attend the office of the Integrity Commission by March 27, 2024.”
The notice, which came after unsuccessful attempts to reach Chin, did not specify the reason for summoning him. However, Chin explained in a statement on Sunday, March 24, 2024, that he had been in touch with the Commission regarding requested financial statements for companies he is involved with. He mentioned that the accountants for these companies have not yet completed the statements, resulting in the delay.
He also apologized for not providing a timely update to the Commission and confirmed his intention to attend their office on Monday, March 25, 2024, to address the matter.
