Detectives from the Falmouth Police Department arrested and charged a Trelawny farmer with the robbery. The charge stemmed from his forcefully removing a gaming box from a bar in Spicy Hill, Clark’s Town, Trelawny, on June 3, 2023.
The police identified the accused as Omar ‘Shooty-Shooty’ Jarrett, age 42, a farmer from the Spicy Hill community.
According to the Falmouth police, Jarrett forcefully removed the gaming box installed at the bar with the assistance of another man. The complainant said the game box contained an undetermined sum of money.
According to the police, an employee, who witnessed the theft, said Jarrett had a firearm in his waistband. And he threatened to hit her in the face when she cautioned him about removing the gaming box.
After removing the box from the bar, Jarrett and his accomplice reportedly placed the gaming box, valued at $550,000, in a motor car and drove away.
The complainant went to the police station and reported the robbery to the police. Law enforcement officers launched an investigation which led them to apprehend Jarrett. The police charged him following a witness statement.
Cops seek couple after alleged rape, assault of 17-year-old girl in St Ann.
ST ANN, Jamaica- The St Ann police would like to have a dialogue with a St Ann couple they believe are suspects in the alleged rape and sexual assault of a 17-year-old female at Snow Hill, Ocho Rios, St. Ann, Saturday night, June 24, 2023.
According to the police, the victim is a student from Gayle St Mary. On Saturday, June 24, 2023, at about 7:30 pm, the teenager visited the female at her home.
The police said the female, a friend of the child’s, reportedly took off her clothes and sexually assaulted her.
Afterward, the friend allegedly held the child down while her common-law husband raped her.
The complainant later reported the incident to the police. And the cops transported the student to the hospital, where the medical staff examined her.
The police have launched an investigation and are seeking to find the couple who have been missing.
