The Hunts Bay police reported that an unknown thug fatally shot a woman several times in the head at her home in Greenwich Town, Kingston, Wednesday night, June 14, 2023.

The police identified her as Manjula Stewartson, age 47, of a Seaview Avenue address.

Reports are that at about 8:30 pm, the woman and relatives were sitting in her yard when a gunman walked up to her and opened fire, hitting her multiple times in the head. 

One concerned resident lamented the execution-style murder of the woman. And they attributed the shooting to the ongoing violence in the area.

“People a dead, man or woman, because a war a fight down here. People a get shot up and some a dead… Anuh everything that happened around here makes the news,” the female resident exclaimed.

Early Thursday morning, June 15, 2023, unknown assailants gunned down Maj Bonnie-Paul Williams at the intersection of 6 Ridgeway Terrace and 3 Millsborough Crescent in Barbican, St Andrew.

The late Maj Williams was an active member of the JDF Reserve and a medical doctor.

According to reports, Maj Williams was driving home at about 5:00 am when he allegedly saw a group of men attempting to steal a motorcar. And as his vehicle moved toward the men, they opened fire at the car, hitting him multiple times.

Law enforcement officers found Maj Williams lying in a pool of blood beside his car.

The JDF said the gunmen took Maj. Williams licensed firearm.

Detectives attached to the St. Andrew Central Police are investigating.

Maj. Bonnie-Paul Williams is the second JDF officer who died in a week in tragic circumstances.

The JDF is expressing sorrow at the killing of Major Bonnie-Paul Williams.
