MANCHESTER, Jamaica: The Manchester Police Department discovered a car stealing in rural Manchester.

According to a police source, on Monday, April 10, 2023, law enforcement officers recovered several car parts and several stolen cars, including a Nissan AD Wagon that was reported stolen Sunday night during a targeted operation in Brockenhurst District in Manchester.

The police acted on intelligence and carried out an operation at premises in Brockenhurst, where they found the vehicles. The police theorize that criminals used the premises to scrap stolen cars.

According to reports earlier this month, law enforcement officers recovered a vehicle in Mandeville that criminals stole from Portmore. The security apparatus disabled the vehicle, and the criminals abandoned it.

The police encourage motorists to invest in tracking devices and enhanced vehicle security.

Police charged Kingston carpenter with possession of illegal gun and ammunition.

On Monday, April 10, 2023, the Hunts Bay Police Department said it has arrested and charged Daniel Williams o/c ‘CJ’ and ‘Peelie Boy’ age 21, carpenter of Seaview Gardens, Kingston, with possession of a prhibited weapon and ammunition. 

The police said at about 1:25 am, a team of law enforcement officers carried out a raid along Chaffinch Road during which they observed williams acting suspiciously once he saw the police approaching.

The police accosted and searched Williams. During the search, the police found a Glock pistol loaded with a magazine containing six 9mm cartridges in his waistband.
