Trending in Jamaica News: Senior JDF officer accused of rape to resign without benefits
The Jamaica Defence Force officer at the center of an investigation for sexual harassment and rape has been instructed to resign by the Defence Board. The JDF also said the officer would lose his post-service benefits. The JDF made the announcement on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Meanwhile, the JDF said it has advised the victims of the predator of their rights to make official reports to the police. And since there is no statute of limitation for sexual offenses in Jamaica, the JDF officer could have serious problems.
The investigation began in October 2022 when some 16 women complained that the senior officer sexually Harassed and raped them. One former captain admitted that she resigned from her commission because she could not stand working with the senior officer.
Hence the JDF concluded that the senior officer breached the organization’s Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy 2018 and the Personal Relationships and Fraternisation Policy.
It is never good when anybody loses their job, much more their pension. But when a person’s conduct brings shame and disgrace to the organization they claimed they love, the authorities have no choice but to get rid of the black eye. And the person at the end of this shitty stick has nobody to blame but himself.
