According to the Observer, the Corporate Communication Unit of the JCF has confirmed that two men were killed in two separate shootings in the corporate area on Thursday morning. Both murders occurred in the St Andrew North Division.
Early reports stated that at about 5:30 AM, an elderly taxi operator named Neil Newsome, 65 years old, was shot and killed by thugs along White Hall Ave in the first incident. He was driving a white Toyota Probox in the vicinity of Victoria Court apartments on White Hall ave.
According to the police theory, it appears the gunmen wanted the Probox, and Newsome resisted and was shot.
The 2nd shooting took place about one hour later in Cassava Piece, an adjoining community to White hall Ave; gunmen shot and killed a man identified as Barry Foster. Foster was believed to be the target of a botched shooting incident last year.
