The morning routine of residents in Old Harbor, St Catherine was disrupted on Thursday, when they learned that unknown assailants allegedly gunned down their beloved “Porridge Man.” The tragic incident reportedly took place while he was while selling breakfast to customers. This shocking attack left patrons and neighbors in disbelief as they struggled to process the incident.
The tragedy has plunged the Panton Lane community in St. Catherine, where “Porridge Man” lived into mourning.
According to reports, around 9:30 a.m., the vendor was at his usual spot, serving a variety of porridge to passersby and locals when unknown assaillants opened gun fire hitting him. When the gunfire subsided, Patrons found “Porridge Man” with what appeared to be several gunshot wounds.
They quickly rushed him to the Spanish Town Hospital, but it was too late to save him. The medical staff pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Investigators have not yet determine a motive for the shooting. The Old Harbor Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the incident.
Unknown assailants fatally wound a Manchester man in his home
Police in Manchester have reported that on Thursday morning, residents of the Trinity community in Porus, Manchester, stumbled upon the bullet-riddled body of a Landscaper at his home. The horrible tragedy has sent shockwaves throughout the community.
The authorities have identified the deceased as 57-year-old Andrew Williams.
According to reports, at around 11:00 a.m., relatives went to Williams’ home to check up on him. Upon arrival, the relatives reportedly found Williams’ lifeless body in his bedroom with multiple wounds in the upper body.
Later, a police patrol responded and, upon arrival, found that the wounds in Williams’ body were actually gunshot wounds.
Distraught family members and friends gathered near the house in disbelief as detectives processed the scene.
The authorities have yet to determine a motive for the shooting. Detectives from the Manchester CIB are investigating the tragic incident.
