During a visit to the National Commercial Bank (NCB) to replace his ATM card, he learned from a helpful customer service representative that his account had already been compromised. There were unauthorized transactions involving the purchase of cell phones and a withdrawal of $50,000 from an ATM in Spanish Town.
In total, a staggering $346,000 had been taken from his account. This underscores the need for bank customers to regularly monitor their accounts for suspicious activity to prevent such losses.
