Court: Motorcyclist Pleads Guilty to Causing Woman’s Death. Rodeen Brown, a motorcyclist from St. Catherine, has pleaded guilty to causing the death of a woman in a traffic accident. He will learn his fate when he returns to the St. Catherine Circuit for sentencing on October 24, 2025.
Law enforcement had charged Brown, 35, in connection with the death of Camille Burke from Glengoffe District in St. Catherine.
During his appearance before Justice Dale Palmer on Friday, July 25, 2025, Brown appeared in court. He pleaded guilty to one count of causing death by dangerous driving. The Court extended his bail pending sentencing.
The tragic incident occurred on January 20, 2019, when Brown was riding his motorcycle along the roadway in Glengoffe.
Upon his approach at a section of the road, Brown reportedly lost control of the bike. As a result, the bike collided with Burke, who was standing at the side of the road.
Burke sustained serious injuries. Residents transported her to the hospital, where she later died.
The case was first presented to the St. Catherine Coroner’s Court, which decided that Brown should be tried for the incident.
