A post-mortem examination revealed that she died from strangulation.

Violent Crime Trends: Portmore business owner foils robbery
The St. Catherine South police have launched a search for three armed suspects. They allegedly attempted to rob a business establishment in Portmore, St. Catherine, on Tuesday night, may 27, 2025.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene, leaving behind an illegal firearm after the proprietor confronted them.
According to reports, around 9:43 p.m., the three men arrived to rob a Cash Pot outlet located on Westchester Drive in Portmore.
Two of the men exited their vehicle armed with guns. But when the proprietor challenged them, the suspects tried to escape in a 2017 Honda Fit.
The vehicle crashed into a wall, forcing the occupants to flee on foot.
As a result, the complainant filed a report with the Portmore Criminal Investigations Branch, which launched an investigation.
