Police seized a sub-machine gun: Alleged gangsters charged
Alleged Gangsters: Police Charged Five With Gun Crimes. The St Andrew South police have charged four alleged gang members. They are charged with possession of a prohibited weapon. They also face charges for unauthorized possession of ammunition. The charges came after the police recovered a sub-machine gun during an operation in Waterhouse, St. Andrew, on Monday, April 28, 2025.
Detectives identified the alleged gangsters as Mark Wright, a 46-year-old carpenter and construction worker, of Rushworth Avenue, Kingston 11. They also identified Ramone Foster, otherwise called ‘Prince’, 27, of Dill Path Crescent, Kingston 11. The other accused are Oshane Gayle, 32, of Conway Road, Kingston 11. Another accused is Giovanni Bonito, 25, of Barbados Road, Kingston 11.
According to the Hunts Bay police, at about 9:30 a.m., a police team conducted an operation on Dill Path Crescent and Barbados Road in St. Andrew.
During the operation, the police signaled a Grey Nissan Infinity motorcar to stop.
The driver agreed, and the officers searched the vehicle in the presence of the occupants.
The officers discovered a brown shopping bag under the driver’s seat during the search. The cops checked the shopping bag and found a sub-machine gun with a magazine containing 19 nine-millimeter cartridges.
Law enforcement arrested the alleged gangsters. They placed them in custody. The authorities later charged them after a question-and-answer session with their attorneys.
The police believed the accused are members of the dismantled ‘Capture Gang’, which operated out of the Waterhouse community.
The alleged gangsters court appearance dates are pending.
Alleged gangster charged with Triple Murder
Law enforcement officers assigned to the St. Andrew North CIB have charged alleged gang leader Orlando Grant. He is known as ‘Rufus’ and ‘Glasses’. They are charged with the April 2022 triple murder that occurred along Morgan Lane, Grants Pen, St. Andrew.

The police arrested Grant, 33, on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025. They apprehended him with an illegal gun and ammunition. This occurred at a corporate Area school during an operation in St Andrew.
Investigators said they have strong evidence. It linked the alleged gangster to the April 2022 gun attack along Morgan Lane. During this attack, gunmen killed three people.
The victims included 42-year-old Joseph Smith from Morgan Lane. The others were 44-year-old Bamsha Miller, also from Morgan Lane, and 39-year-old Kevin Eddie from a Seaview Gardens address.
Detectives said Grant remains under investigation for other serious crimes and was the target of several police operations.
The alleged gangster court appearance date is pending.
