Cops Charged 65-year-old suspect in Jamaica with murder
Cops Charged Suspects For Felonies including Murder. In Trelawny, Jamaica, police charged a Warsop farmer. The charge is related to the fatal shooting of 29-year-old landscaper Ryan Scott on July 7, 2024, in Cooper’s Pen.
The authorities identified the accused as Winston Dixon, also known as ‘Steppa’, 65. They charged him on Friday, April 18, 2025, with murder. Besides murder, cops charged the suspect with several firearm-related felonies. This followed his capture and execution of an arrest warrant during an operation.
According to Falmouth police, at about 9:45 p.m., Ryan Scott from Cooper’s Pen in Falmouth was among a group persons standing outside a shop.
Dixon, reportedly armed with a firearm, approached Scott and allegedly opened fire, hitting him multiple times, before escaping on foot.
Law enforcement responded and found Scott lying face down on the roadway with gunshot wounds to his upper body.
To save him, officers swiftly transported Scott to the hospital, but it was too late. Hospital officials pronounced him dead on arrival.
Dixon’s court appearance date is pending.
Cops charged suspect with attempted robbery in Christiana, Jamaica
In Manchester, Jamaica, cops charged a suspect accused of attempted robbery. He allegedly entered a store in Christiana on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He brandished an imitation firearm and tried to rob the establishment.

During a search of the accused person, the police allegedly found an imitation gun. They also discovered a stolen cell phone, a source said.

Possession of Prohibited Ammunition Leads to Arrest in Manchester

Cops charged Dobson with possession of prohibited ammunition.
According to the police report, at about 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, the police acted on information and searched a premises occupied by Doley.
During the search, the cops found the ammunition in a drawer.
Law enforcement placed Doley in custody and formally charged him. His court date is pending.
