The authorities identified the accused as Anray Williams, 39, of Cupits district, Clarendon. The police charged him with arson and the murder of his 33-year-old Shashane ‘Judian’ Guthrie-Williams.

According to the police, the couple was at home with their children around 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

A verbal altercation that broke out between them later turned into a fight.

Tragic Domestic Violence Cases. During the melee, Anray allegedly used a knife to stab his wife several times before cutting her throat.

Then, he allegedly set the house on with his injured wife and their children inside.

The children managed to escape before concerned residents rescued Anray and his injured wife from the blaze.

According to the police, Anray reportedly fled before the police and fire department arrived.

The fire brigade team performed cooling-down operations.

Law enforcement later transported Shashane’s body to the morgue pending a post-mortem.

Later that day, the husband turned himself in at the police station, where he confessed to committing the crime.

The authorities have scheduled Anray to be before the Clarendon Parish Court on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Law enforcement officers in Spanish Town charged a St. Catherine suspect. She allegedly entered the complainant’s house. She stabbed the complainant several times while she was asleep.

The police identified the accused as Gabriel Cooper. He is also known as ‘Gabby.’ Gabriel is 21 years old and a resident of Johnson Pen, Spanish Town, in St. Catherine.

Investigators charged Cooper with wounding with intent.

Tragic Domestic Violence Cases. Detectives from the Spanish Town police reported that at around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, a woman was sleeping at home. She was awakened by a stab to her neck. She found Cooper in her room.

The complainant reported that Cooper continued to stab her all over her body, causing bleeding.

Good Samaritans assisted her to the hospital, where the authorities admitted her in serious condition.

The police launched an investigation. They later arrested and charged Cooper after a question-and-answer session.

Cooper’s court appearance date is pending.
