Serious Crime News: Senior Detective Among Three Charged. Law enforcement officials announced the arrest of a senior detective from the Area 1 Narcotics division on sex-related charges.
Police identified the accused as Detective Sergeant Neil Williams. He faces charges of sexual grooming and having sexual intercourse with a person under 16.
Serious Crime News. Law enforcement charged Sergeant Williamson on Friday, December 20, after a ruling from the Director of Public Prosecutions office.
The allegation stated that in 2023, the officer met the complainant and began communicating with her via WhatsApp.
On December 12, the two love birds reportedly made arrangements to meet after the complainant allegedly asked the officer for money to purchase clothes for the Christmas holiday.
They reportedly met in Dunsville Ocho Rios, where the policeman allegedly had sexual intercourse with the complainant in his car.
Serious Crime News. Reportedly, the complainant’s relatives saw the love birds together and reported the matter to the Ocho Rios Police Station.
The authorities took Sergeant Williams into custody and placed him on an identification parade, during which the complainant positively identified him.
Williams appeared before the St Ann parish court on Monday, December 23. The court offered him J$300,000 bail, with sureties.
Serious Crime News. Two Arrested for Deadly Dominoes Game Shooting
The St. Andrew South Police have charged two men, including a teenager, in connection last month’s gun attack in Happy Grove St Andrew. The attack which unfolded during a dominoes game, resulted in the death of two men.
The suspects charged are 18-year-old Raymond Mighty, also known as ‘Brownman,’ from Mark Lane in Kingston, and 23-year-old Rajay McCreath, known as ‘Roger,’ from the Happy Grove district.
Serious Crime News. They face several charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
The victims have been identified as Hubo Duncan, 25, and Ryan Webb, 44, a welder, both from Gustman district in Happy Grove.
Serious Crime News. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:05 p.m. on November 22. Duncan and Webb were among a group of people playing dominoes in the community. Two armed men approached and opened fire, hitting both men.
Law enforcement respondeded, and upon their arrival, the officers found both men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Responding officers assisted the victims to the hospital, where they died while undergoing treatment.
On Friday, December 20, McCreath and Mighty were arrested and later charged following an identification parade.
Their court appearance date is pending.
