Manchester detectives arrested a 21-year-old man concerning a November 6, 2022, robbery in Christiana, Manchester.

Manchester detectives have arrested and charged 21-year-old Odeno Anderson, a laborer of Suncrest Garden district in Clarendon, with robbery with aggravation and possession of a prohibited weapon concerning an incident that took place on the Christiana main road on

According to the police, on November 6, 2022. at about 1 p.m., Anderson and three other men entered a business establishment posing as customers. They then held the businessman at gunpoint, robbed him of valuables, including assorted liquors, cash, and cigarettes, and fled.

The businessman made a report to the police. And the police launched an investigation. They subsequently arrested Anderson. On Monday, March 13, 2023, the police charged Anderson in his attorney’s presence after a question-and-answer session. Anderson will appear before the Manchester Parish Court on March 24, 2023. The police are currently seeking his accomplices.

The West Kingston police have taken an 18-year-old man into custody on firearms charges. 

The police identified the accused as Raheem Williams of East Street, Kingston, and Lacovia, St Elizabeth. The police charged Williams with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition concerning an incident on Beckford Street, downtown Kingston, Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

According to the police report, at about 5:30 a.m., law enforcement officers conducted an operation in Beckford St. where they saw a group of men, including Williams, acting suspiciously. Upon seeing the police approaching, the men opened fire and fled. 

The police searched the area and found Williams hiding behind a tree. The police accosted and searched Williams and found a Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing fourteen cartridges in his waistband.

 The police subsequently arrested and charged williams. His court date is pending.
