Westmoreland police have reported that on Monday, March 13, 2023, unknown thugs shot and killed a taxi operator and a female passenger near Robins River, Westmoreland.
The police identified the dead as 34-year-old Eucal Dwyer, o/c ‘ Twin’ taxi operator of New Works in Westmoreland, and 52-year-old Patricia Stewart, o/c ‘Patt’, a farmer of Bog District also in Westmoreland.
According to the police at about 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2023, Dwyer was driving his taxi with Stewart as a passenger from Savanna-la-Mar en route to Whitehouse, when they were ambushed by armed men who opened fire on the vehicle.
Both driver and passenger were hit multiple times. They were pronounced dead at hospital.
