Security Guard Orlando Gayle Charged with Colleague’s Murder in Esher, Lucea.

Crime Fighters in Jamaica charged a second Clarendon suspect related to the 2024 murder of 72-year-old Allan Rattigan. Rattigan's caregiver found his lifeless body at his home in Pyramid Point, Ocho Rios, St Ann, Jamaica.

Detectives charged a Clarendon man with the murder of 22-year-old Ainsley Hall, a security guard from Trinityville in St Thomas. His charge stemmed from a stabbing incident in Esher, Lucea, Hanover, on Friday, November 10, 2023.

 Charged is 22-year-old Orlando Gayle, otherwise called ‘Lando,’ a security guard of Fern Crescent, Hayes, Clarendon.

The May Pen police stated that at about 7:10 a.m. on November 10, 2023, Hall and Gayle were at their employer’s barracks.

Suddenly, a physical altercation developed between the both men.

During the melee, Gayle reportedly used a knife, stabbed Hall several times in his upper body, and fled the scene.

The police responded and transported Hall to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.

The authorities launched an investigation that led to Gayle’s arrest. The officers later interviewed and charged him.

His court date is pending.

Police in St Andrew, Jamaica, charged Kemany Jones, o/c ‘Kiddy,’ a construction worker from Bobo Hill in Bull, St Andrew, with the January 22, 2023, murder of 33-year-old taxi operator Leon Lindsay of Taylor Land, Bull Bay in St Andrew. 

The authorities also charged him with using a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and conspiracy to commit murder. 

The allegation stated that Lindsay was sitting in his car on the day in question. Jones and another man approached him and opened fire, hitting him all over his body. He died on the spot.

Law enforcement officers responded and launched an investigation.

The cops arrested Jones during a targeted operation in Bobo Hill on September 6. They formally charged him the next day after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.

Jones’ court appearance date is pending.

Police in Kingston charged Samuel ‘Obbie’ Grant, 32, of Bentley Lane, Kingston 13, with the May 17, 2024, murder of Marlon Johnson, also known as ‘Mega,’ 37, of Maxfield Avenue in Kingston. 

On the day of the incident, Johnson was walking along Lamont Lane in Kingston. Grant and two other men allegedly approached him and opened gunfire, hitting him multiple times.

Hospital officials pronounced Johnson dead on arrival.

A law enforcement team apprehended Grant during a targeted operation.

Besides murder, the officers also charged Grant with using a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorized possession of ammunition. 

His court appearance date is pending.

TRELAWNY, Jamaica: Police charged a Trelawny man with breaches of the Firearms Act after removing an illegal gun from his person in Cooper’s Pen District on September 7.

Ojay Berlin, 33, a chef of Race Course district, Falmouth in Trelawny, faces charges of possessing a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of Ammunition.

According to the Falmouth police, at about 5:30 pm, a police team targeted and searched a restaurant in Cooper’s Pen, Trelawny.

During the operation, officers removed one 9mm pistol with a magazine containing five 9mm rounds from the accused waistband.

He remains in custody pending a court appearance date.
