Witness in ‘Beachy Stout’ trial admits getting rid of a gun and six cellphones.

A crown witness in the Everton ‘Beachy Stout’ Mc Donald trial testified under oath that the businessman instructed him to get rid of a prohibited weapon and destroy six cell phones shortly after Tonia got killed.

Two of the destroyed phones reportedly belonged to McDonald, while another two belonged to Denvalyn ‘Bubbla’ Minnott, the contract killer.

Minnott had pled guilty to Tonia McDonald’s murder. The Court had previously sentenced him to 19 years and 10 months in prison.

The witness described himself as ‘Beachy Stout’ right-hand man. He testified that during the week following Tonia’s murder, the businessman gave him a gun.

...” and say get rid a dis mi nuh have nuh more need fi dis or something like dat,” the witness recalled McDonald saying.

The witness said he placed the gun inside a backpack and asked his now ex-boss what to do with it, to which McDonald allegedly replied, “throw it over sea”.

The witness also recalled collecting two additional phones from ‘Bubbla’ within two weeks after Tonia’s murder and destroying them.

According to the witness, ‘Beachy Stout’ never gave him any reason for destroying the phones.

McDonald and his co-accused Oscar Barnes are on trial for the July 2020 murder of Tonia McDonald, ‘Beachy Stout’s’ second wife.

Gum Shoes in St. Ann has named a person of interest concerning the sale of cannabis-laced candies that sickened more than 60 Ocho Rios Primary School students on Monday, October 2, 2023.

The children purchased the candies from a male vendor outside the school gate.

The children affected, who are seven to 12 years old, were rushed to the hospital, suffering from significant dehydration and hallucinations.

Up to Tuesday evening, October 3, 2023, four students remained in the hospital under observation.

The Police identified the vendor as Devon Holness of Mansfield Heights in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson says the Police believe Devon Holness can assist with investigating the incident. So, he should contact the St. Ann Police as soon as possible.

Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton has reportedly said the candies entered the island illegally.

The National Council on Drug Abuse is to test the product to determine its ingredients.
