ST MARY, Jamaica- Cops in St Mary are looking for a male suspect who allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old female ward of the State in Boscobel, St Mary, between late 2022 and early 2023.

According to reporting, the suspect reportedly lived with the teen after she absconded from a children’s home in the parish.

Unconfirmed reporting by the Observer stated that the child lived with the suspect after she fled a State-run Juvenile center between August 2022 and February 2023.

According to the police, the suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the child more than 16 times during the six months.

The authorities reported the violations after the child returned to the Institution and got debriefed. 

The police are now searching for the suspect.

Police charged 66-year-old farmer after allegedly raped 7-year-old girl.

ST MARY, Jamaica – The Albion Mountain police arrested and charged a male suspect after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 7-year-old female child.

The police charged Reginald Hibbert o/c ‘Regie,’ age 66, a farmer of Albion Mountain in St Mary, with rape and grievous assault. 

According to a report by the Albion police, Reginald Hibbert, otherwise called ‘Regie,’ reportedly assaulted the female child on three separate occasions this year.

The child’s guardian reported the matter to the police. The police activated an investigation and arrested and charged Hibbert.

His court date is pending.
