Thugs executed two brothers, then set their house on fire in St James.

Barrett Town detectives have launched an investigation into the execution style slaying of a 16-year-old boy and his 22-year-old brother in Long Bay, St James, Wednesday night July 19, 2023. 

According to reporting, the police identified the deceased as Neo Samuels, age 16, late student of St James High School, and Gregory Forbes, age 22, of Wrong Turn Road in Long Bay, St James.

The police reported that at about 11:40 p.m., the brothers were among seven family members at home when armed thugs kicked the door in and held the brothers at gunpoint and ordered them to lie face down on the floor.

The heartless brutes then executed the brothers and set the board and concrete structure on fire. 

The blaze destroyed the house. Aside from the two boys no other family members were hurt.

Police charged two more alleged OTF members concerning the gun and ammunition seizure in St James.

The police have charged two more alleged members of the Only The Family (OTF) gang, stemming from the seizure of six guns and over 400 rounds of Ammo during a raid at premises in St James on July 13, 2023. 

The police identified the accused as Tishell Bernard, age 21, a customer service representative, and Remoy Farquharson, age 26, a businessman. Both accused are residents of the Green Heights Mews section of Green Pond in St James.

The police had previously brought multiple firearm Act breaches charges against 48-year-old businesswoman Sheryl McCallum.

The evidence indicated that three were illegally dealing in firearms and ammunition. Among the charges the accused face are stockpiling prohibited, dealing in prohibited weapons, and possessing prohibited weapons. 

Their court appearance date is pending.

Police charged two men following a gun and ammo seizure in Lakes Pen.

 ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The Spanish Town Police confirmed that they arrested and charged two men following the seizure of a prohibited weapon and several rounds of Ammo during an operation in the Lakes Pen section of Spanish Town on July 15, 2023.

The police identified the accused as Sunmar McFarlane, age 28, who listed his occupation as a mason, and Phillip McFarlane, unemployed. Both men are residents of the Tawes Pen section of Spanish Town, St Catherine. The police charged them with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

The Spanish Town police stated that on July 15, 2023, at about 1:30 pm, law enforcement officers acted on intelligence and conducted an operation in Lakes Pen.

During a search at the targeted premises, the police seized one Tanfoglio 9mm firearm with five 9mm cartridges and four 4mm cartridges.

The police took the two occupants into custody and subsequently charged them with breaches of the Firearms Act.
