On Wednesday afternoon, June 21, 2023, Constant Spring Gum Shoes interviewed Dancehall Artise, Jahshii, concerning the June 7, 2023, murder of businessperson Omar ‘Romie’ along Shortwood Road, St Andrew.
The police had announced that they wished to speak to the artiste, and he surrendered to personnel at the Constant Spring police station in the company of his attorneys, Richard Lynch and Peter Champagnie, KC
The police interviewed the artiste and released him. The police said the investigation continues.
The police believed that Jahshii had information that could assist them in clearing up the murder of
45-year-old businessperson Omar ‘Romie’ Wright.
According to reports, men armed with guns killed Wright on Shortwood Road at about 10:40 pm on June 7, 2023, by armed men after an altercation with Jahshii’s mom, during which he doused her with water and a visit from Jahshii.
