Unconfirmed reports are circulating that a policeman’s wife shot and killed him during a domestic dispute at their home in Somerset, Manchester, on Monday evening, May 29, 2023.
The police have not yet released details of the unfortunate incident. But the deceased is identified as Constable Damien Blair, assigned to the Manchester Police Division.
The police Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), could not confirm the incident or provide any details.
However, unverified sources have indicated that several instances of domestic violence marred the couple’s relationship.
Preliminary reports are that sometime after 6 pm, Monday, May 29, 2023, Blair and his wife had an argument that escalated into a confrontation.
Residents of the community later heard loud explosions and alerted the police.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found Blair suffering from multiple gunshot wounds while his wife with several knife wounds.
They were both assisted to the hospital, where Blair was pronounced dead.
Hospital authorities admitted Mrs. Blair under police guard.
The Manchester police are probing the development.
