On Saturday, May 27, 2023, law enforcement officers fatally shot a gunman minutes after he allegedly committed a murder in Olympic Gardens.

In addition, the police arrested two men they believed were present at the scene of the murder.

According to reports, at about 4:30 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2023, a team of officers was on mobile patrol when they heard explosions and went to investigate.

The three men challenged the police. During the confrontation, the police shot and killed one of the men and seized one firearm.

According to reports, at about 10:45 am, on March 24, 2023, the man identified as Andrien Allen, a laborer of the Kingston 11 community, forced his way into a house, reportedly pointed a firearm at the two complainants, and attempted to fire. However, the complainants said the gun failed to fire, making a clicking sound. And the accused fled.

The complainants reported the incident to the police. As a result, the complainants pointed out Allen to the police. The police subsequently charged him on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
