A man turned himself into the May Pen police Tuesday, April 11, 2023, after a man he struck during a dispute died.
The police identified the deceased as Paul Clarke, age 64, of Luddy Green, Frankfield, Clarendon.
According to the police, at about 8:20 pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, Clarke and another man had a disagreement that turned into a fight. During the fight, Clarke used a piece of board and struck the 44-year-old accused.
As a result, the accused returned the favor, used the same piece of board, and struck Clarke several in the chest region. Clarke collapsed and later died. The man later turned himself in to the police, where he will remain while the police investigate.
Illegal gun seized in St Andrew, man arrested
On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, detectives assigned to the St Andrew South Police Division reported that they seized a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol loaded with a magazine containing thirteen 9mm cartridges during a routine patrol.
According to the Hunts Bay police report, at about 12:30 am, a police team was on patrol in the Hunts Bay area when they saw a man acting suspiciously. As the police got closer, the man allegedly removed an object resembling a firearm from his waistband, threw it in the bushes, and ran.

A 13-yr-old girl was among two shot in Manchester attempted robbery

The robbers attempted to rob the business, but they were unsuccessful, and when leaving, they opened fire, hitting the shopkeeper and the 13-year-old girl. The other person was not hurt.
The police assisted the victims to the hospital, and the authorities admitted them.
