The police have taken the father, who allegedly stabbed his 17-year-old daughter Shedeque Calvert, to death on Sunday, in custody after he turned up at the hospital for treatment on Tuesday morning, April 4, 2023.

According to the Elletson Road Police, at about 1:30 am, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, concerned citizens assisted the man to the hospital after they found him unconscious with his throat and wrists slashed.

The man is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment under police guard.

The police had launched a search for Shedeque Calvert’s father after he allegedly stabbed her to death during a dispute on Sunday. Calvert had died in the hospital while undergoing treatment.

31-y-o stabbed to death in Manchester

The Manchester Police Department has launched a high-level investigation into the stabbing death of 31-year-old Glenford Isaacs, in Christiana, in the parish, on Monday night, April 3, 2023.

According to reports reaching jamaicangazette.com, at about 7:00 pm, Monday, April 3, 2023, residents found the deceased lying along the roadway in Christiana, suffering from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. They summoned the police.

The police rushed Isaacs to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries while getting treatment.

The Craighead division Councillor, Omar Miller, had good things to say about Isaacs. According to the Councillor, Isaacs advocated for opportunities within the Craighead community. He was hoping to get on the overseas farm work program. 

“He was an ordinary young man trying to make it in life. I don’t know him as any violent person or why someone would want to do this to him…”

In addition, Miller said Isaacs did several odd jobs, including farming, and helped his relatives with their business, and playing as a Disc Jockey at events to earn a living.
