Man arrested after breaching the Greater Portmore Police Station Lock-up compound carrying a bag with contraband.

The Portmore police reported taking a man into custody after he breached the compound at the Greater Portmore Police Station lock-up in St Catherine and attempted to introduce contraband into the facility earlier Saturday, March 11, 2023.
According to the police, a team of officers carried out a routine patrol of the compound at about 2 a.m. On Saturday, March 11, 2023, a man leaped over the fence at the back of the facility with a bag. He wore a black shirt, pants, mask, and red sneakers.
The police accosted the man and searched the bag. And found the following items:
· 7 cell phones
· 5 phone chargers
· Several boxes of cigarettes
· One parcel containing ganja, tobacco, and lighters
· Several razor blades
·Several electrical cords
· Multiple headphones
The police are expected to level charges against the accused once the investigation is complete.
Farmer arrested over gun seizure in Clarendon.
An unnamed Clarendon farmer is in police custody after the police found an illegal firearm hidden in a bedroom ceiling at his house in Curatoe Hill, May Pen, this morning, March 11, 2023.

The police reported that at about 6 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, they were armed with a search warrant that gave them authority to search for an illegal firearm at the accused place of aboard.
And during the search, they found a P80 9mm semi-auto pistol loaded with a magazine containing seventeen 9mm cartridges in the bedroom ceiling.
They seized the weapon and arrested the man. However, the police withheld the name of the accused.
