Clarendon police are investigating the shooting death of 30-year-old Ryan Folks, o/c’ Tyrone’ and ‘Tall Man,’ of Farm, Effortville, in Clarendon. Folks is a known violence producer.

On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, unknown assailants shot and killed “Tallman” along Anthurium Avenue in Longville Park, Clarendon.
According to reports, at about 8:30 p.m., residents in the community heard several loud explosions and summoned the police. Upon arrival, the police found Folks lying along the roadway with gunshot wounds to his upper body. The police transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police believe Folks’ death stems from his involvement in criminal activities. He was released in 2020 after serving 18 months for having an illegal firearm.
Folks’ murder has given residents of Longville Park cause to worry because it was just one month ago security forces shot and killed one of Jamaica’s most wanted “Bigga Crime” in the community.
The police have raised the alarm, imploring residents to be more vigilant, citing the migration of criminals to peaceful communities.
