Homicide: Police Launched Investigations into Two Fatalities. Detectives from the St. Andrew South Police Division have launched a homicide investigation. A Jamaican-American was fatally shot during a gun attack in Duhaney Park, St Andrew. This occurred on Saturday night, June 21, 2025.
Authorities identified the victim as Leonard Williams of Norfolk, Virginia, USA, and Abberville Avenue, Kingston 20.
The police report stated that at about 9:30 p.m., unknown assailants shot and injured Williams along Abberville Avenue.
Law enforcement responded and transported him to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he died from the injuries he received.
Investigators have yet to prove a motive for the recent homicide.
The Hunts Bay Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the case.
A St Ann farmer faces homicide charges after in Stabbing Incident
Police in St Ann charged a suspect with homicide after he allegedly fatally stabbed a man in St Ann’s Bay on Thursday, June 19, 2025
The suspect is identified as Leroy Burrell. He is also known as ‘Fry Fry.’ Burrell is 37 years old and a farmer from Top Higgin Town in St. Ann.
Authorities stated that the deceased is 41-year-old Kenyatta Davis, also known as ‘Frass Man,’ from Content District, St Ann’s Bay.
According to the police report, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Burrell and Davis got involved in an heated argument that escalated into a fight.
During the scuffle, Burrell allegedly used a knife to inflict multiple stab wounds on Davis’ body.
The police responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found Davis’ body lying face down on the ground in a pool of blood.
The officers processed the scene and transported the body to the morgue in St Ann’s Bay.
Investigators launched a homicide investigation that resulted in the arrest of Burrell. They formally charged him on Saturday, June 21, after an interview took place in the presence of his attorney.
The police have stated that his court date has not yet been finalized.
