Felony Charges: Cops Indicted Four Men in Kingston and Hanover. Police from the Eastern Kingston Division in Jamaica arrested a 17-year-old boy. They charged him with allegedly shooting and injuring a female motorist during an attempted robbery. Law enforcement reported that the incident took place on Deanery Road in St. Andrew on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
The teen, whose identity police withheld, faces felony charges of wounding with intent and using a firearm to commit a felony. Additionally, he faces charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
His court appearance date is pending.
Detectives from the Elletson Road police station reported that at approximately 2:28 a.m., a teenage boy and an accomplice approached a woman. Each was armed with a handgun. They confronted her as she was reversing her vehicle and demanded her belongings.
The complainant reportedly acted quickly, refused the hoodlum’s demand, and drove away.
As a result, the two hoodlums reportedly opened fire, hitting the woman.
She drove herself to the hospital, where the authorities treated her wound.
Then she filed a criminal report with the police.
Law enforcement acted quickly and arrested the teen on Thursday, June 5, 2025. They formally filed felony charges against him on June 6.
Police indicted two men after seizing 81 rounds of ammunition in Tivoli
On Saturday, June 7, police from the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Division (C-TOC) indicted two men with felony charges. The charges stemmed from the seizure of 81 rounds of ammunition. The police found the ammunition in a vehicle occupied by the suspects in Tivoli Gardens.
Cops identified the accused as Jhamaal Reid, 31, from Tivoli Gardens, and Romar Brown, 31, from Burlington Avenue, Kingston 10.
They face charges of unauthorized possession of ammunition, dealing in unauthorized ammunition, trafficking in unauthorized ammunition, and stockpiling unauthorized ammunition
The police report indicates that personnel from the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Division (C-TOC) were conducting an operation. They stopped and searched a gray Mazda Demio on Sangster Crescent.
During the search, officers discovered ammunition hidden behind the front passenger seat.
The police took both men into custody and charged them. Their court appearance date is still pending.
A Montego Bay Man faces felony charges for possession of Stolen Car parts.
The Hanover police filed felony charges against a suspect from St James. They discovered parts from a car reported stolen in his possession.
Alex Perry, 30, from Port Bello, Montego Bay, faces felonies of larceny of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.
According to the Lucea police, the car was stolen from Orange Bay on Monday, May 19, 2025.
At around 4:37 a.m., a man parked his Toyota Crown in the garage and went to bed.
Later, he woke up to the sound of a car radio and got up to investigate.
To his dismay, he discovered that his vehicle was missing. He reported the incident to the police, and the police launched an investigation.
The investigation led investigators to an establishment operated by Perry in Montego Bay, St. James.
During a search of the establishment, the police discovered parts of the stolen motor car in Perry’s possession.
As a result, the police arrested Perry and placed him in custody.
They formally charged him on Friday, June 6, after he was interviewed in the presence of his attorney.
His court appearance date is pending.
