Bounty Killer’s Unexpected Airport Experience in Trinidad
Jamaican dancehall veteran Bounty Killer found himself facing unexpected delays and complications upon his arrival at the Piarco International Airport in Trinidad on Friday. But the artiste remained grateful for the tremendous support he received during this challenging time.
After his nine-hour detainment at the airport, Bounty Killer took to social media on Saturday to express his gratitude to the Jamaican government, specifically Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Transport Minister Daryl Vaz, for their swift intervention. He also extended his thanks to the immigration officers at the airport, acknowledging their dedicated efforts throughout the night in resolving the situation.
“Thanks to the Government of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, Daryl Vaz, all the immigration officers at Piarco Airport who stayed up all night to accommodate me, @johnnykbravoofficial, @bunjigarlin, @fayannlyons, @kweisidaniel, and all the rest of my Trini links. Bless up,” Bounty Killer expressed in his social media post.
Despite the unforeseen circumstances, Bounty Killer remains focused on his upcoming event which was scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2024, in Trinidad, where he booked alongside Rygin King and Alkaline.
Clarendon deliveryman charged for shooting policeman.
A 27-year-old deliveryman, Kirk Messam, also known as ‘Neko,’ from Inverness Drive in Sandy Bay, Clarendon, has been charged with the shooting of a police constable and another individual on July 26, 2024. The authorities have accused Messam of two counts of wounding with intent, unauthorized possession of ammunition, possession of a prohibited weapon, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.

Reportedly, the incident took place around 8:30 p.m. while the policeman was attending a church event at Inverness Drive. Upon hearing explosions nearby, he went to investigate and found himself under heavy gunfire, resulting in him and another individual sustaining injuries. The perpetrators fled the scene.
The police initiated an investigation which led to the identification of Messam as a suspect, and he surrendered to the police in the presence of his attorney on August 2, 2024. The authorities have indicted him, and his court date is pending.
