Twenty-eight-year-old Damion Latouche, also known as ‘Killa,’ and a resident of McIntosh Drive, Kingston 3, is now facing multiple charges after the alleged shooting and later death of Ryan Anglin in the local community on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
The deceased, 38-year-old Ryan Anglin, was also a resident of the same community.
Latouche’s charges include murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.
Reports show that around 11:40 p.m., Anglin was at his residence when Latouche allegedly approached him and opened fire. Witnesses reported seeing Anglin fleeing from his home and ultimately collapsing along the roadway.
Anglin was assisted by relatives to the hospital, where he received medical attention. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
Before his passing, Anglin reportedly identified Damion Latouche as the individual who shot him.
On Wednesday, July 24, Latouche surrendered to the authorities who charged him after a session of questioning.
The date for the accused’s court hearing is pending.

Two individuals, a man, and a female vendor, are receiving medical care after being admitted to the hospital.
Reportedly, the man was targeted while standing near the vendor’s shop on North Street, when assailants approached and opened fire, resulting in multiple gunshot wounds.
Additionally, the vendor was unintentionally hit by a stray bullet during the altercation.
Both victims were promptly transported to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
The perpetrators managed to flee the scene, and efforts to apprehend them are ongoing.

Law enforcement officers in St Elizabeth have launched a search for a group of armed individuals who reportedly carried out a robbery at a residence in Luana Gardens on Thursday afternoon, August 1, 2024.
As per reports, armed men entered the premises at around 3:00 p.m., forcibly robbed the occupants of an estimated $2 million, before they fled the scene.

The fatal shooting of a 38-year-old raft operator, identified as Troy Cooper, also known as ‘Slaughter,’ has sparked an investigation by detectives from the Ocho Rios police department in St Ann. The incident took place on Thursday night, August 1, 2024.

According to reports, Cooper was socializing with friends at a bar around 8:20 p.m. when a man dressed in black approached him. After a brief conversation, the man produced a gun and shot Cooper in the head before fleeing the scene.
Upon the police’s arrival, the victim was swiftly transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. At the scene, authorities recovered one spent casing. As of now, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
Fatal Altercation Leads to Murder Charge for Jamaican Farmer.
A farmer from St Ann, identified as 18-year-old Vashjay Murphy, has been charged with the murder of 45-year-old Vinzel Facey during a violent altercation.
The incident took place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, along the Cotton Tree main road. It is reported that during the altercation, Murphy used a piece of board to repeatedly strike Facey before fleeing the scene.
Tragically, Facey’s body was discovered by residents the next day, resulting in the apprehension of Murphy by authorities. the police formally charged Murray after a question-and-answer session, on Thursday, August 1. The date for his court appearance is pending.
